Our History

Renaissance Mototrcycles was started by Steve Spreter in 1978 in a small shop on Speedway Blvd. in Tucson, AZ. Steve's passion for Italian motorcycles was quite evident in the beginning, as he was the owner, mechanic, and salesman for the shop for many years. Steve's passion carries on today as the shop has grown, adding sales and service staff, and changing locations. Steve continues in his role as master mechanic of Renaissance Motorcycles.

Renaissance Motorcycles relocated to a larger building in 2005 down the road from the original location. Although the business has seen steady growth throughout the years, Renaissance Motorcycles has retained it's small shop feel and vibe. As a specialty shop, Renaissance attracts serious motorcycle enthusiasts that are pursuing performance as well as style. Because of Steve's experience and dedication, Renaissance Motorcycles has established customer relationships that have spanned thee decades.

As Renaissance Motorcycles expanded from its origin as a Ducati and Moto Guzzi dealership, major Italian brands including MV Agusta, Aprilia, Vespa and Piaggio are now prominently featured on the showroom floor. The addition of these brands has expanded the capabilities and usage styles of the machines offered for sale and serviced, yet still preserve the high performance standards of the shop. With these additions, a greater diversity of customers can now acheive their two-wheeled dreams at Renaissance Motorcycles.
