Renaissance Motorcycles' Service and Parts Departments are built upon Steve Spreter's longtime passion for Italian motorcycles. Steve has an affinity for details and approaches his service work like a master surgeon. His knowledge on the mechanics of the Italian motorcycles is unsurpassed. Here are Steve's comments on regular maintenance of Italian motorcycles:
"I have developed an "OIL CHANGE SERVICE " as a result of my 35+ years of experience with Italian motorcycles.
With extended oil change and maintenance intervals, some of your machines might be looked over only once a season. It is imperative that a technician, familiar with all aspects of your machine, look it over and drive it! I typically find at least one issue while your motorcycle is on the service stand (and two or three on the subsequent road test) that requires some form of adjustment or further attention.
The whole focus of my method is to make your machine safer and more enjoyable to ride, and to make you aware of any further needed service. In addition, all bikes are VIN checked for any recalls or service updates. We use the BEST oils, fluids and OEM parts.
This is the most cost effective way to have your machine professionally evaluated. I have more service training and experience with Italian motorcycles than anyone else in this region of the country. I have attended the OEM service schools since they started becoming avaiable in the mid-1980's. I have all of the required diagnostic equipment, and maintain contact with the best of the OEM's service staff."

Service features
Renaissance Motorcycles handles all manufacturer suggested service intervals, warranty work, and general service for most model year Italian motorcycles. Please call our service department to schedule an appointment.
- 1 hour labor $78.00 + $12.95 supplies, materials, disposal, includes brake fluids, coolant, etc. (may be extra charge for large quantities)
- Change OEM Oil Filter, Motul Full Synthetic Oil, Gaskets, etc.
- Check hydraulics and flush if necessary. Add coolant if necessary.
- Clean and check chain and sprockets, adjust if necessary, check alignment.
- Check tire pressures, condition (wear and aging), brake pads.
- Check all lights, horns and signals.
- Visual inspection of entire motorcycle while on the lift. Any issues noted to be discussed.
- Road test: Approximately 3 to 5 miles checking the following:
- Throttle: smoothness and free-play
- Brakes: engagement, free-play, vibration or noise, lever condition
- Mirrors: adjustment, vibration, etc.
- Clutch: smoothness, free-play, slippage, engagement
- Gear Lever: adjustment, play, smoothness
- Handling/Steering response and tire grip
- Engine response, acceleration, steady speed, and deceleration
- Driveline smoothness and suspension action
- All around drivability.
